Hello AMA Family!
I am excited to continue my tenure as principal of AMA. My name is Aracely Martinez, your proud principal of AMA! It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2023-2024 academic school year. I am honored to serve the Carson community and all AMA students, faculty, and staff. I come to you with over 20 years of experience as an educator for the Los Angeles Unified School District. In fact, I am a proud alum of LAUSD.
I look forward to a fantastic 2023-2024 school year. There is so much to be proud of. The school has received a 6-year WASC accreditation and students have done well in both AP and state exams. There is much to celebrate! However, how do we keep this up and do even better? As a family! We will be working together to ensure that we support our students for a successful 2023-2024 school year. My goal is to provide all students the opportunity to pass every class with a C or better, to pass every exam at proficient levels, and have a fun and safe high school experience. I envision parents being informed as partners of every school activity, being familiar with their child’s class schedule and supporting their student with school responsibilities. Staff will continue to provide an instructional program of high achievement, multiple opportunities for students to succeed and a wide range of activities for students to be part of something. Students, the expectations are high, we want you to succeed and in collaboration with parents and staff as a family, it will be possible. AMA is a school that will form strong bonds and create strong individuals prepared to give to others through the medical field. Together, we will have an AMAzing school year!!
